Associate - Infrastructure Debt, Real Assets

This is a great job for someone for an Infrastructure Debt investment professional early in their career looking for career development and the opportunity to join an established market leading team with ambitious growth plans.

A bit about the job:
We are looking for an Associate, Origination to join our Infrastructure Debt Team in Real Assets. You will have transactional responsibility in terms of deal origination and execution for typical loan size from £20 -£250m. You will provide day to day support to more senior colleagues on new investment transactions and you will support on the origination, review, and execution of investment opportunities with a focus on the assessment of opportunities and writing investment papers for approval to the relevant investment committees. Our infrastructure debt business invests currently in debt in the UK and Europe across the whole range of infrastructure. Managing investor capital of around £12bn deployed capital, Aviva Investors has ambitious plans to continue to increase its exposure to the asset class both in the UK and in Europe.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- You will have relevant prior infrastructure experience allowing you to have a good understanding of financial models and legal project, corporate and financial documentation;- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to review and sensitise an infrastructure transaction financial model;- Ability to assess credit risk in relation to transactions and use of internal credit rating models;- Experience of preparing credit approval papers and presenting clearly to internal stakeholders;-
- Ability to research / summarise information on a wide variety of topics, writing clear, concise and insightful research.
