Associate Director, Structured & Private Debt - Real Assets

A bit about the job:
The Structured & Private Debt team is responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of corporate and sub-sovereign private debt assets from a diverse range of issuers and sectors. The team manages several investment mandates from various Aviva entities and third-party investors. The team originates £1 billion+ of assets every year and is growing fast.

The role will entail:
- Collaborate with the team and a range of stakeholders on the whole lifecycle of private debt investment including origination, structuring and execution across UK, France and Continental Europe.- Producing concise and analytical investment papers built upon fundamental credit analysis covering business, financials, rating and structure which are then presented to Investment Committee.- Investment across different debt markets including Private Placements, leveraged loans as well as structured transactions.- Negotiation of commercial terms and pricing models with counterparties to maximise risk-adjusted returns for our clients.- Interface and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders including advisors, management teams, credit risk, legal and operations.- Support the growth strategy of the team via materials that assist capital raising initiatives

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Flexibility of mindset to work on various client investment remits including fixed rate investment grade, leveraged loans as well as some exposure to guaranteed and secured lending strategies.- Excellent fundamental credit skills, being able to analyse and produce high quality credit papers with limited oversight. An understanding of relative value analysis and commercial deal negotiation and execution experience also beneficial.- Must be highly detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Excellent academic track record preferably progressing or obtained a professional qualification (CFA, CAIA or any other industry specific qualification)- Preferable to have written and oral communication skills in French.
