We are now recruiting for a **Transport Planner**on a full time, permanent basis at our **Port Sunlight**site.

**Shift**: 4 on 4 off Days

**Salary**: £27,017.04

Contributing to the success of the Transport team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day planning of the transport operation, through the efficient planning of the transport operation.
A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a busy transport department, able to deal with day to day challenges and provide cost effective solutions to the customer.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Subcontracting and planning orders out of multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
- Planning daily workload for a fleet: vehicles based on site and Outbased vehicles.
- contract haulier’s and warehousing sites.
- Liaising with Traffic and Administration teams to ensure the highest standards of performance are maintained at all times.
- Maintaining, creating and updating spreadsheets and databases for customer reports.
- Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that arise.

**Qualifications**
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of transport planning expertise in a busy and demanding environment.
- Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills.
- Be able to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale.
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
- Be able to communicate well at all levels within the business.
- Have the ability to identify and suggest improvements to benefit both the Company and our customer.
- Be a highly motivated individual able to work as part of a small friendly team
- Knowledge of SAP, BPCS and Road Runner would be advantageous.
