**Skills and Requirements**:

- To hold good Numeracy / literacy skills at level 2 or equivalent;
- To have relevant understanding of administration systems and processes;
- To have good knowledge of Administration of education-based MIS systems;
- To be able to input, store and retrieve information from digital sources;
- To have experience of dealing with parents and external agencies/customers;
- To have effective oral communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations, face-to-face, telephone or groups;
- To have excellent written communication skills including ability to draft clear and concise plans;
- To have strong interpersonal skills: the skills to relate effectively to parents, professionals and colleagues;
- To have sound IT skills including ability to use Microsoft Office software;
- To have the ability to manage a varied workload and set / meet deadlines;
- To have the ability to work independently and on own initiative, requiring mínimal supervision;
- To have a commitment to person centred approaches, personalisation and key working functions;
- To demonstrate flexibility and resilience to adapt to the ever-changing needs of our students;
- To demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for our students and celebrating their successes;
- To be consistent and reliable, offering solutions for improvement.

**Role**:

- To welcome all visitors to the school, controlling the issue of visitors’ passes, and notifying members of staff as appropriate;
- To operate the telephone system and ensure that messages are efficiently recorded and distributed;
- To maintain a list of visitors, and signing-out books for staff and students, in order to ensure an orderly evacuation of the buildings in the event of fire;
- To maintain stocks of postal franking supplies and stamps, and prepare outgoing post for mailing;
- To maintain stocks of stationery items;
- To attend meeting in the capacity of a note taker, ensuring that this information is then effectively captured and shared as required;
- To assist members of the Senior Management Team with appropriate tasks as required;
- To record all contact received and made on the school MIS system in line with agreed procedures and service levels;
- To provide administrative support in setting up transitional meetings and EHCP reviews where appropriate;
- Maintain accurate, well organised and up to date records of work;
- Maintain own continuing professional development (CPD) to update relevant knowledge and skills.
