A large charity organisation in Abingdon is looking for Support worker -Children's Charity to work with children with special needs in a residential unit. This is a permanent or temporary post, that offers massive support with growing into the role and achievingcertain qualifications if needed.
The charity is very well-known for providing social care services to children across the country, using an emotional well-being, advocacy semi-therapeutic approach. The residential unit is home to 6 children between the age of 5 to 18 years old that sufferwith a range of health and emotional needs. Most of the children have an autistic diagnosis and other learning needs. Your role as a Support worker -Children's Charity will be to support them by promoting independence, addressing inappropriate behaviour, conductingsupport plans tailored for individual needs.

Requirements for this role:
- Experience working with young people or children in social care, educational or other setting. NVQ Level 3 is required for this role, Willingness to undertake NVQ Level 3 while being employed by the charity, support is provided for you to achieve this ifnecessary.
