User Experience Designer

**About the role**

As **UX/ UI Designer**, you’ll have the brilliant opportunity to
Help shape the future of our digital products by working collaboratively to come up with innovative ways to solve our business problems that are centred around our customers’ needs
- Utilise your tried and tested UX and UI design skills at all stages of the design process, including research, ideation, prototyping, and UI design
- Carry out usability testing and other forms of validation to improve and iterate your designs
- Contribute towards our creative culture by helping to drive awareness and understanding of design throughout YBS

**About you**

You’ll have a proven track record of experience, researching and designing engaging experiences that meet the needs of the people that use them. You’ll be able to take complex business requirements and turn them into simple, clear interactions and interfaces that our customers will love - whilst carefully balancing the business needs. You will have
- Experience conducting competitor analysis, using analytics tools, and customer insight to find opportunities and tease out pain points that drive your design decisions
- Solid experience bringing your ideas to life using design tools such as Sketch, Invision, Figma or Adobe Xd to craft UIs, wireflows, and interactive prototypes, that can be held up as examples of how things should be done
- A good dose of curiosity, empathy, and creativity - getting to the heart of people’s needs, behaviours and motivations is your gift, and you use it to help solve their problems
- A clear understanding of UCD principles and methodologies
- An ability to produce and validate your ideas at speed; constantly iterating your ideas in a create, test and learn cycle
- Experience planning, conducting, and analysing usability studies
- A willingness to learn and try new things - be it tools, techniques, or ways of working
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey ideas and opinions in a clear, thoughtful, and simple way
