Core services include repair, maintenance, construction and installation of utility and infrastructure assets. Vegetation management and tree cutting activities are provided through EOS Contracting.

**Our Role**

As an Overhead Lines Operative, you will work as part of a team, directly involved in the switching, earthing and recipient of safety documents on overhead lines LV to 132kv working alongside our in-house tree cutting teams.

Training will be given to expand your competencies.

**Key Responsibilities**

We are looking for someone to:

- Construct/maintain/replace overhead electrical networks up to and including 33kV
- Install overhead electricity networks to relevant construction standards and exacting quality standards
- Ensure to lead by example and safely undertake works as directed
- Conduct and abide by risk assessment process prior to project commencement and continually review and report changes to your Chargehand
- Always work safely and in line with Company and statutory safety requirements
- Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with Company procedures and client/Company distribution safety rules
- Highlight any concerns, unsafe conditions or acts to your line manager
- Mentor other team members including LE2 Linesman and provide guidance on construction/safety issues

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Hold current DNO authorisations for SSEN (Work on Dead Networks, Live LV Working, Permit holder)
- IPAF accreditation
- NRSWA Operative
- IOSH Working safely qualification
- Driving licence with C1+E category
- City & Guilds 2339 (formally 2322)
- NPTC Chainsaw qualification
- Previous experience working On Shutdowns, Connecting Generators, Polarity Testing, Etc
- 33Kv, 11Kv Heavy / Light Construction / BLX, LV Open Wire, ABC & Services
