Manchester, United Kingdom Agent Academy CIC Full time

Experienced in management and leadership, you’ll have the ability to empower the team to reach their highest potential and deliver extraordinary social impact. A strong set of personal values is essential - we are proud to be people-first and our values are extremely important to us. Yours should be to you, too.

We are looking for someone with a progressive outlook and innovative approach to business development. You will use your knowledge and expertise to harness the power of industry connections, delivering transformative learning experiences that lead to high-value employment outcomes for our learners at the same time as fulfilling the talent needs of our industry partners.

We want someone with a strategic approach, big ambitions, and the ability to execute a plan with zeal and flair to achieve exceptional results.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THIS ROLE**:
**Leadership & Management**

**Strategic responsibility** - you will have the vision, insight, and sector understanding to plan and lead the direction and development of Agent Academy. You will present progress, evaluation, impact, and future plans regularly to the Board.

**Team** - you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating the team. Pivotal to this role is the ability to manage team performance, following a structured approach. You will be responsible for building the capacity of the team through coaching, identifying areas for training and further development as well as recruitment. You will be dedicated to enabling the team to deliver our strategic ambitions.

**Business planning** - you will oversee all aspects of delivery when it comes to Agent Academy’s programmes. Working with the team you will schedule the tactical delivery of existing and new projects, considering team capacity, revenue generation, impact and the requirements of partners and funders.

**Strategic oversight** - you will be continually building your insight and understanding of the key sectors and regions we operate in. Understanding and interpreting the influence of ever-changing national and regional policy and keeping up to date with current and impending legislation, will be key.

**Evaluation and compliance** - your commitment to achieving excellence will promote a spirit of continual learning and improvement in the team. Working closely with the programme manager, you will oversee our compliance and evaluation processes.

**Business Development**

**Partnership management** - you’ll be the key contact and relationship manager for all our partners. This means you’ll work closely with partners to understand their objectives and develop the relationship. Setting out and managing project plans, you’ll ensure partner expectations are exceeded, milestones are fulfilled, and impact is realised.

**New business relationships** - Your ability to build upon our track record and instigate the development of new relationships, harnessing these to deliver business ambitions, will be key. Particularly you’ll focus on the development of building new connections that have the potential to evolve into partnerships with industry, universities and public sector organisations.

**Recruitment partnerships** - You will play a proactive role in developing partnerships with employers who are looking for support with recruitment. This will include making sure our offer is fit for purpose and delivers value to the employers who work with us to recruit new talent.

**Bids and tenders** - You will identify new sales and funding opportunities and, with support from the commercial director, lead the preparation of proposals, bids and tenders. You will take time to interrogate and understand the scope of the brief and formulate a bespoke response that delivers this.

**Creative approach** - You will continually inspire your team to think differently. Innovation will be delivered by listening to partner and industry insight, co-creating new ideas and taking a creative and solution-led approach to new projects and renewed curriculum. Your future focused outlook will result in the continued progression of Agent Academy.

**Marketing** - overseeing all marketing activity with the team at Agent, you will be responsible for communicating delivery plans, business priorities and desired campaign direction. You will be responsible for the sign-off on all external communications to make sure our message is aligned with our ambitions.

**Events** - Knowing how to deliver outstanding events experiences that make a lasting impact on audiences is important. You will lead the development and delivery of our collaborative events programme, harnessing the power of connection and positioning Agent Academy as a leader in this space.

**External relations** - you’ll be a figurehead and representative of Agent Academy at external events, steering groups and boards. Being a spokesperson at events and using your platform to lobby for change or align with external agendas will be crucial.
