One of the largest housing associations in the UK is recruiting for a Scheme Officer to deliver an effective tenancy sustainment and building & facilities management service across their older people's Sheltered Housing Scheme in Peterborough
**The Role**
The focus of this Scheme Officer role is to provide an intensive housing management service, within a supported housing setting, taking the lead on responding to resident queries and managing any reported cases of ASB, damage to property, breach of lease/ tenancy
This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

- _Ensuring the wellbeing of service users, carrying out welfare calls and being their point of contact for any concerns_
- _Ensure that all service contracts operate effectively, monitoring on a regular basis._
- _Responsible for reporting all communal repairs. Maintain a supply of light bulbs for communal areas._
- _Ensure that Residents do not leave furniture, etc. deposited in corridors or stairways ensuring all fire escape routes are free from obstructions. _
- _Act as contact for all communal repairs and holding communal keys for contractors' access as and when required._
- _Oversee the activity of any contractors carrying out work on site _
- _Carry out regular building inspections, identifying elements of maintenance required, report repairs and implement works_
- _Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, safety and security_
- _Carry out required health and safety functions including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting testing and complete all fire testing logs. _

To be considered for this Scheme Officer role you will require experience of housing management and maintain an approachable demeanour.
**Due to the nature of clients you will be working with in this role, you will require an enhanced DBS.**
**The Package**
This is a full time Scheme Officer vacancy, working 37 hours per week, 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. The contract is for an initial 3 month period, but does have potential to be extended or made permanent, as it is covering the recruitment process for apermanent member of staff.
