**About the role**
We’re looking for an ambitous Finance Analyst to join our growing team. You’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference at Seccl. As part of a small finance function you will find yourself getting involved in a variety of tasks from day one, and you’llbe instrumental in helping the team support the business as a whole.
**You’ll be someone who**:
- Is comfortable and enjoys a bit of variety in their daily tasks
- Has strong numerical and analyticalskills
- Has some experience of accountancy rules and concepts
- Is comfortable working independently and to deadlines
- Has good communication skills and uses their initiative
- Constantly looks to improve upon internal finance processes and build efficiency
- Has an interest in automation and analysis
**It would be nice to have...**
The items listed below would be beneficial for the role but are not absolutely critical:
- Experience of the financial services sector - in particular, an understanding of the requirements of an FCA authorised business
- Knowledge and understanding of a regulatory environment
- Some experience of regulatory capital requirements, as well as involvement with FCA reporting and submissions
- Working understanding of Python scripts to analyse data
**What will you be doing?**
As part of a small team you will be getting involved in all areas of the finance function.
This that on a day-to-day basis you will be involved with:
- Budgeting and business planning
- Cash flow forecasting
- Preparing management and statutory accounts
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Payroll
- Regulatory reporting and capital requirement calculations
- Seeking out ways to streamline many of the existing processes, capturing relevant MI and improving the visibility of this to the wider business
The role will enable you to grow as you gain experience.
