**Job Title**: Pack and Dispatch Operator

**Reports to**: Operations Supervisor

**Job Summary**:
The Pack and Dispatch Operator will be responsible for the final stages of the production process, ensuring precision-engineered CNC components are carefully packed, labelled, and dispatched to customers in line with exacting industry standards. This role is crucial in maintaining our reputation for delivering high-quality, precision components on time and in perfect condition.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Packing**
- Accurately pack items following work instructions, customer requirements, and company guidelines.
- Use protective materials to safeguard items during transportation.

**Dispatch Preparation**
- Generate and verify shipping documents
- Organise packages according to carrier schedules or delivery priorities.
- Ensure all items are prepared for dispatch within agreed timeframes.

**Stock & Materials Management**
- Maintain an inventory of packing materials and request replenishments as required.
- Track finished goods inventory, ensuring all items are accounted for during dispatch.
- Record and report any damaged or missing items.

**Other Tasks**
- Operate washing equipment to clean machined components, ensuring they meet cleanliness standards.
- Use manual tools to deburr and finish components to precise standards.
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials, finished goods, and packing supplies within the facility (forklift training provided).

**Coordination & Communication**
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., production, quality control, logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with delivery partners or drivers to confirm dispatch schedules.

**Health & Safety**
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace to prevent accidents and ensure efficiency.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including manual handling procedures.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Basic IT skills for working with dispatch and inventory systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is an advantage.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and move packages of varying weights.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and manual handling.

Pay: From £12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
