Our client is looking for an experienced Software Tester to help with the successful delivery of their projects, enhancements and defect fixes, ensuring that high quality code and a product that is fit for purpose is introduced into the live environment.

**Hybrid working - 2 days on site**

This role will involve explaining complex processes in simple terms, both written and verbal, to both a technical and a non-technical audience. There is a significant financial aspect to much of the work, as the systems calculate royalty payments in multiplecurrencies, and integrate closely with the accounting system (SAP FI:CO).

**Essential skills
- Educated to degree level (minimum 2:1)
- Experience of writing, managing, running tests, mainly manual, some automated.
- An analytical and systematic approach to testing
- Have demonstrable experience of using the following tests: Integration/Regression/Negative/Smoke/Acceptance User/System
- Experience of automated test tools e.g. Testbench, Test Director or similar.
- Experience in manual testing of complex software systems (including Financial) during development and support.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid agile or test-driven development approach,
- Able to test technically without detailed level instructions
- Experience within a test lead role, writing test plans, executing them, analysing results, and preparing relevant reports.
- Experience with issue or bug tracking systems (e.g. JIRA admin).
- Able to pick up complex systems and architecture flows
- Strong in SQL, testing DB migration and general Infrastructure testing knowledge
- Have knowledge of basic accounting terminology

**Desirable skills
- Ideally will have worked in a similar role, for a department or company, who create their own software.
- Experience in setting up Automated Testing environments and tools
- Experience in working with complex software.
- ISEB/ISTQB Advanced Test Manager in Software Testing.
- Experience of running user acceptance testing sessions.
- Technical experience of setting up their own test environment.
