**Opportunity**:
We are looking for a Senior Software QA Tester to join our team remotely to help ensure our product works well and addresses user needs. We are open to hiring a full-time employee or a contractor. You will have the opportunity to hit the ground running as an integral member of the Product/Development team, reporting to the VP and Head of Product. As one of our first QA hires, we expect you to have an ownership mentality and operate with a large amount of autonomy.

Our approach to software development is agile, which means we focus on delivering value for our customers fast and with as few issues as possible. We expect our Senior Software QA Tester to work in an agile manner, be highly adaptable and help us achieve our goals of agile development.

**What you’ll do as a Senior Software QA Tester**:

- Gain a deep understanding of how the existing DeepStream platform works and the logic behind it
- Develop and maintain test strategies, regression plans, cross-feature plans, and test cases, encompassing manual, non-functional and automation
- Enjoys finding creative ways to break stuff
- Work with dev and product teams to stay up-to-date and evolve testing strategy alongside the platform
- Handle first-pass QA for in-development work - evaluate against specifications, find bugs and stress test
- Train a full-time QA analyst and ensure they follow best practices and adhere to implemented test strategies
- Define, document and execute a wide variety of test cases to ensure ongoing quality of the overall platform
- Be the first point of call to investigate, troubleshoot, document and triage issues
- Question things all the time. Think about the customer, our ways of working, the features the team are implementing, the technologies we’re using.
- Undertake regular platform-wide regression testing to ensure high quality is maintained

**Qualities we are looking for in a Senior Software QA Tester**:

- Significant experience within Quality Assurance
- Will ideally have a background within Engineering
- Driven and a self-starter attitude, with an ownership mentality
- Experience testing complex web apps
- Highly communicative and responsive (particularly when working from home)
- Excellent attention to detail - you take pride in the quality of your work and trying to uncover every issue
- Curious mindset - you’re the type of person who asks ‘why’ and ‘how’ often
- Adaptable and able to learn quickly in new environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proactive approach - particularly in articulating your working methods and ongoing progress
- Strong organisation and time management
- Ability to prioritise issues and prevent perfect being the enemy of great
- Comfort working on multiple projects simultaneously with various stakeholders
