The Software Tester is integral to the creation of high specification software for internal and external stakeholders within the logistics industry. As part of the Development team, you will work closely with the Business Analysts and Developers to ensure bespoke software solutions are delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner. The development team is growing in line with the growth of the business, we need a quality Tester to help us to deliver the ever-growing software demands.

We are looking for..

• Commercial experience working with software development teams, in a manual testing, development or support role (minimum 2 years)
• A good understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Quick to learn and able to apply that learning in a way that delivers benefit to the role
• Excellent attention to details with an Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Experience of defect triage & management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience defining and executing test scenarios and test cases
• A self-starter with the ability to come with solutions by asking the right questions

As a Software Tester your main responsibilities will include:

• Building good knowledge of Europa Software Systems and a true understanding of Europa Business areas and practices relating to their team, through knowledge share between team members, to ensure effective solution design.
• Work closely with the Business Analyst and the Developers to ensure the business requirements are met to deliver quality software.
• Write test cases based on acceptance criteria for back log items, provided by the Business Analyst in line with business requirements.
• Execute the above test cases to ensure acceptance criteria has been met.
• Proactively identify any areas of impact in the software under test, and ensure that regression testing has been identified and executed when necessary
• Defect triage and defect management through discussion with team members and/or Business Analyst and Developer to ensure solution-based outcomes are achieved.
• Occasionally mentor Junior Testers, to upskill and provide guidance on a day to day basis
• Provide assistance to Senior Testers with regards to the test strategy, test plans and test team development and latest technology
• Attend and participate in daily stand ups, design and specification meetings, showcases and retrospectives as part of the AGILE work practices of the development team.
