Fawkes & Reece South are working with a regional contractor that are working in collaboration with a main contractor on a variety of utilities schemes covering Somerset and Wiltshire. They are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on a range ofschemes worth up to £5m. Scope of works will include trenching, ducting, drainage works etc.

You will be reporting to a Managing Quantity Surveyor on projects that are based on NEC contracts and will be involved in (but not limited to):

- Accurate monthly forecasting
- Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender
- Notify in writing both successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in a timely manner
- Producing and processing formal subcontract documents and certify interim and final payments
- Cost capture, allocation of costs, accruals, subcontract liabilities
- Material enquiries, quotations and ordering of materials including reconciliations
- Liaison with site team, subcontractors and clients' representative

**Requirements including certificates and qualifications**:
Experience working on any civil engineering or groundworks related projects
