**About this Role:
**Fawkes and Reece are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a Water project around the Bristol Area. This is a client-side role working on a long-term project.
The client has a low staff turnover due to the culture and they are keen on training and progressing top talent. Sounds good?**Quantity Surveyor Duties Include**:
- Report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor with aspects of the project
- Assist aspects of procurement with the support of relevant team
- Assist managing contract change, opportunity, and risk
- Be involved in carrying out project forecasting and reporting
- Liaise with team members to facilitate effective working
- Attend regular financial meetings with senior staff
- Work to financial targets and deadlines
- Quantity surveying experience in the construction industry, preferably with experience in the NEC Suite of Contracts
- Degree or equivalent qualified in quantity surveying
- A strong attention to detail, self-motivation, a problem-solving nature and a drive to succeed
- Ability to interpret technical/design detail to assist in problem solving and valuing engineering options as appropriate
- Experience with change and risk management, as well as tender and final account negotiation skills
- Have good people skills, including leadership skills and the ability to foster professional relations with others
- Knowledge of health and safety related to the role.
