Job DescriptionQuantity SurveyorLocation: Bristol (office-based with flexibility, covering sites within 1 hour of Bristol)Salary: £60,000 (negotiable) + Bonus + Car/Allowance + BenefitsThe OpportunityA growing residential developer is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Bristol team. This role offers the chance to take responsibility for the commercial management of housing projects across the South West, with all sites located within an hour of the office.This is an excellent career step for an established Quantity Surveyor, but we are also open to applications from Assistant Quantity Surveyors ready to progress into a more autonomous role.Why Apply?Salary of £60,000 (negotiable, based on experience and current earnings)Annual bonus schemeCompany car or car allowanceGenerous holiday entitlement, increasing with servicePension scheme and life assurancePrivate healthcare and employee wellbeing benefitsClear pathway to Senior Quantity Surveyor for ambitious candidatesProjects all located within a manageable distance of BristolWhat You’ll Be DoingManaging budgets, cost forecasts, valuations, and financial reportingLeading subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract administrationAdvising on variations, project changes, and cost implicationsMonitoring project progress to ensure financial targets are metPreparing and agreeing final accountsProviding commercial support to project managers, site teams, and directorsSupporting and mentoring junior surveyors as part of the wider commercial teamWhat We’re Looking ForHNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, or as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor seeking promotionKnowledge of residential construction methods and regulations preferredStrong financial acumen and cost management skillsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsRICS/CIOB membership (or working towards it) desirableIn ReturnThis Quantity Surveyor role offers variety, autonomy, and progression within a supportive commercial team.
