**Job overview**:
WILL CONSIDER BAND 3’S WITH CONSIDERABLE THERAPY EXPERIENCE AND WILLING TO UNDERTAKE ASSISTANT PRACTITIONER TRAINING AS PER BELOW.
TO UNDERTAKE AN UNDERGRADUATE TRAINING PROGRAMME OVER 2 YEARS. AT THE END OF THE 1ST YEAR THE POSTHOLDER WILL HAVE GAINED ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE EQUIVALENT TO AN NVQ LEVEL 3, PROGRESSING TO YEAR 2 TO ACHIEVE A FOUNDATION DEGREE.
**THE POST HOLDERS WILL ALL NEED TO HOLD A CURRENT DRIVING LICENCE AND HAVE THE USE OF THEIR OWN TRANSPORT AS THE ROLE IS WORKING IN THE COMMUNITY.**
**Flexible shift patterns and various hours available.**
**The Home First Reablement Service operates 7 days a week from 8am to 6pm and various shift working is available. The successful applicants will work on a rota that is provided in advance to cover shifts that includes weekends and Bank Holidays.**
**Main duties of the job**:
The Salford Rehab & Reablement Team provides a life changing service to the people of Salford by helping them to regain or attain as much independence as they can in their own home. Our Home First Assistant Practioners do this by motivating and inspiring people to re-learn daily skills and enhance their quality of life.
You will be working along side Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Rehab techs as part of the team using the Single Assessment Process and deliver physical rehab interventions to patients providing Rehabilitaion and Reablement to adults and older people.
You will be fully trained to assist people to meet their care needs, which can range from motivational support to personal care and promptly alert the team where there are any changes in the person’s health and wellbeing or any possible risks.
You will have previous experience within a therapy rehab environment ideally including community and/or intermediate care experience.
You will be able to deliver a high standard of evidence based individual care, have excellent interpersonal skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and be flexible to meet the needs of a 7 day service.
