**Platform Lead - IT Common Tools**

The ITSO (IT Services and Airline Operations) organisation manages and is accountable for the rapid delivery of the trustworthy, scalable, and efficient IT infrastructure services needed to support the technology critical for easyJet’s future growth plans and ambitions.

I&O Platforms are part of the ITSO organisation and form the backbone of easyJet's technology capabilities. They underpin nearly everything we do at easyJet - from providing transparency on the state of our technology services to ensuring efficient and secure hosting of our data. Effective I&O Platforms are critical to enabling our future growth aspirations and our ambition to become Europe's most loved airline.

I&O Platforms consist of:

- Connectivity Platform - connect devices to our IT services and to the internet.
- Identity and Access Platform - provide employees with simple and secured access to IT services.
- IT Common Tools Platform - provide IT leaders and teams tools to work efficiently (e.g., development and testing environments, etc.).

Each Platform is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of business outcomes and the Platform teams are expected to demonstrate a proactive work mindset in addressing easyJet’s priorities.

Over the next 2-3 years, Platforms will evolve significantly, along with the evolution of technology capabilities and business needs (e.g., Dev(Sec)Ops, AIOps, etc.).

**Job Purpose**

**Requirements of the Role**

**Key Skills required**
- Several years of experience within an IT department.
- Experience in leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting, and staffing.
- Experience in IT governance and leadership within a large or complex organisation.
- Understanding and experience in IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
- Ability to evangelise and implement transformational initiatives where the target state included agile, DevOps, SRE, cloud adoption at scale and SD-WAN.
- Consolidated operations capabilities in large, complex enterprise organisations to deliver improved efficiency, while balancing customer preferences for agility.
- Experience in maximising effectiveness of nearshore / offshore resource models and experience in managing and delivering through third-party suppliers, focusing on business outcomes and employee experience.
- Experience in building cloud management solutions, including software development, integration, and ongoing engineering aspects.
- Experience in creating self-service mechanisms to streamline infrastructure provisioning and ongoing management.
- Experience in working in an environment leveraging agile at scale approaches.
- Experience in supporting the shift from Capex to Opex with processes - e.g., those to comprehensively manage and optimise cloud costs in a collaborative fashion.
- Budget planning and financial management, preferably with showback and/or chargeback models.
- Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork and facilitation and ability to build consensus, make decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.
