Payroll Liaison Administrator

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Administrator to support the Trust’s newly created Payroll Liaison Team.
You will be a self-motivated, pro-active individual with excellent self-management, communication and numeracy skills and you will be highly organised and conscientious with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
The role requires extensive knowledge and experience of using the ESR system, processing payroll elements, statutory regulations, NHS and local terms and conditions, and management of the NHS pension scheme.
To act as a point of liaison between budget managers, Trust Management, and the Sussex Health and Care Payroll Hub in resolving pay queries and improving the accuracy of the information that generates a payroll transaction.
To create interface files to be shared with the Sussex Health and Care Payroll Hub to facilitate payment of staff expenses and the weekly payroll.
East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust provide acute hospital and community NHS services for people living in East Sussex and the surrounding area.
We deliver most of our acute services from Conquest Hospital in Hastings and Eastbourne District General Hospital. Both hospitals have an Emergency Department and provide care 24 hours a day. Our hospitals offer a comprehensive range of surgical, medical and maternity services supported by a full range of diagnostic and therapy services. Our community services are provided throughout East Sussex by our community teams, who provide care in the patient’s own home and from a number of clinics and GP surgeries.
We also provide an outpatient service, ophthalmology clinics and surgery and various rehabilitation and intermediate care services at Bexhill Hospital. At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we provide outpatient and inpatient intermediate care services. At Firwood House we provide inpatient intermediate care services jointly with Adult Social Care. We also provide some services at Uckfield Community Hospital.
The Payroll Liaison Team is a small team, newly created to act as a point of liaison between the Trust and the Shared Health Care Payroll Hub.
The team are dedicated in providing an efficient service and are united in providing an excellent standard of customer service in the resolution of pay queries, and in ensuring that submission deadlines are met to allow prompt payments.
