Payroll Officer

**Are you experienced in processing payrolls accurately and to deadlines? Do you have high levels of attention to detail and able to work with a high volume of work?**
We are looking for a Payroll Officer to provide support to the Payroll team, for the processing of weekly and monthly payrolls to ensure they are processed accurately and on time.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):
- Collation of new starter, amendment and leaver forms.
- Attaching new employees to the monthly payrolls and attaching payments/deductions.
- Collation of timesheets for the monthly payrolls
- Setting up new pro-rata musicians, actors and children and attaching to payroll
- Setting up and changing elements such as rent, services, subsistence and touring allowance.
- Data input of basic hours, overtime, holiday, and absences.
- Ensuring leavers are paid/deducted holiday pay.
- Calculation of Statutory payments such as maternity, paternity and adoption pay
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:
- Payroll processing experience
- Knowledge of current HMRC legislation
- An understanding of calculating tax and national insurance
- Excellent attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
- Numerate - for example comfortable analysing numerical data and with good level of Excel skills (e.g., confident with formula, sorting data, summarising data)
- Proven ability and commitment to meet deadlines and able to work under pressure.
- Proactive in their approach, flexible and adaptable to new ways of working
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
This is a full-time, fixed term contract for 12 months, based in Stratford-upon-Avon.
