Awena is a forward-thinking service within Together for Families and has a key role within Education and Community Health.
Over the past 6 years, Awena has grown into a strong provision, supporting the education achievements of Children in Care, Previously Looked after Children and, due to the government’s extended duties, Children with a Social worker. We, as a team, have high aspirations for all Children and support them to meet all their learning and social potentials.
We are looking for 3 Locality Specialist Outreach Learning Advocates to work across West, Mid and East Cornwall supporting the work of Awena (Cornwall Virtual School) alongside the “Belonging” strategy and supporting the Council’s “A brilliant place to be a child and grow up” Outcome Delivery Plan.
These roles are diverse, innovative and multifaceted and will offer the applicant experiences of different education settings alongside working with schools, health and social care colleagues to support vulnerable Children and their Families, access to support and provision to enable them to have a real sense of belonging to their school and community.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a specific project.
