Healthcare Support Worker

Here at InHealth, we are expanding our teams and we have a requirement for a Healthcare Support Worker/Decontamination Technician to join our Endoscopy team in our brand new Community Diagnostic Centre in Redruth, Cornwall. You will deliver an Endoscopy service to the highest standard, using a model of care that recognises the psychological, physical and social needs of our patients.
Full Time / 37.5 hour contract / 8am - 6pm / 4 days a week / Flexibility through Monday - SundayWhat you'll do:
- Welcoming patients to the clinic in a professional manner and acting as patient advocate at all times.
- Cleaning, monitoring and tidying equipment as directed and report any problems or malfunctions to senior member of staff
- Record, feedback and convey relevant patient information/observations to the seniors.
- Delivers patient care in accordance with the care plan as documented by the Senior Nurse.
- Maintain effective communications with patients, relatives and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrates positive attitude, acting as an advocate for InHealth and deliver highest standard of care accordingly.

- Personal interest & experience of delivering patient centred care.
- A good understanding of health and safety and infection control
- Flexible for working patterns to fulfil site requirements.
- Commitment to continuous professional learning demonstrate up-keeping of required skills and competencies.
- Time Management and workload management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

* This includes colleagues delivering face to face patient care in the Targeted Lung Health Check mobile units, Endoscopy, AAA Screening, Breast Screening, PET-CT, Audiology, Mobiles, Imaging Centres and CDC's. Note that this payment is not applicable to clinical staff working within the Echocardiography division, or Diabetic Eye Screening. The Weekend Payment does not apply to those on a flexible working agreement and part time workers that have requested to work weekend hours/days as part of their working agreement. The Weekend Payment also doesn't apply to those who are working remotely or carrying out administrative work from home.
