**Job Title: Housing Officer**

**Location**: Worcester, Worcestershire.

**Salary**: £12.65 per hour.

**Hours**: 40 hours per week (inclusive of paid lunch breaks). Shifts will vary according to business needs and will include some weekend, evening, and lone working.

**About us**: YMCA Worcestershire is committed to providing high-quality housing services to our residents. We are looking for a dedicated Housing Officer to join our team and help us manage and oversee tenancies across our sites.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and organise tenancies, ensuring thorough and accurate administration.
- Administer all aspects of residents’ tenancies, including rent and benefit payments, inspections, and void management.
- Maintain accurate records and produce reports to analyse performance and highlight areas for improvement.
- Liaise with local authorities, maintenance teams, and other external partners.
- Ensure compliance with YMCA Worcestershire’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety.

**Desirable Skills and Experience**:

- Knowledge of housing legislation, tenant and landlord rights, and housing and homelessness issues.
- Experience in an administrative role within a housing setting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong administrative skills, including record keeping and report writing.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations.
- Competency in using Microsoft Office packages.
- Knowledge of damp and mould management.
- Experience in managing challenging situations and emergencies.
- Understanding of Tenant Satisfaction Measures.
