Mason James Appointments is supporting an established Packaging Solutions business, with the recruitment of an EHS Officer to join their Leamington Spa location.

The role of the EHS Officer function will be to carry out a wide range of health and safety practices and general business support tasks in line with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with carrying out weekly and monthly HSEQ inspections and audits, ensuring that the workplace is being maintained in accordance with health and safety and environmental standards
- To understand health and safety risks associated with physical agents
- such as manual handling, noise, dust, vibration and chemicals and implement control measures for safe working.
- To undertake a range of tasks suited to the current level of training and development to reach a good level of knowledge of health and safety regulations in the work place.
- Root cause analysis and accident investigation, implement accident reduction targets for repeat incidents.
- Carry out annual PUWER assessments to make sure with were compliant with work equipment onsite.
- Take ownership of all toolbox talks onsite which will include drafting up health and safety matters, you will need to work with the other line management to make sure that they communicated to all staff.

**Experience**
- Experience of working in a fast-paced office or production environment
- Experience of working in a health and safety capacity within operational site.
- Competent to walk round site independently and carry out HSEQ tasks and functions and be able to liaise with other line management and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to problem solve
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office software

**Qualifications**
- A Level/ BTEC equivalent grades C and above English, Maths and Science.
- IOSH Managing Safely
- NEBOSH General Certificate in H&S
