This isn't just about policies and checklists, your work will be central to everything that happens here. From the thrill of our live jousting tournaments to large-scale events, restoration projects, and the day-to-day running of the Castle, you'll be the person ensuring it all happens safely. Without your expertise, the magic quite literally couldn't take place.

You'll work closely with the Regional Health, Safety & Security Director and act as a trusted advisor to managers and teams across the attraction. Whether you're investigating an incident, leading a safety drill, or guiding contractors through site procedures, your presence will directly protect thousands of guests and staff every day. You'll have the authority to challenge unsafe practices, the skills to embed a positive culture, and the drive to make sure safety is something everyone feels proud to own.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts will include regular weekends and, due to the nature of our business, bank holidays too
Qualifications & Experience
We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally in a busy, guest-facing environment.
  • A relevant qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Strong communication skills, able to build trust and influence at all levels.
  • A detail-focused approach, with experience in risk assessments, audits, and training delivery.
  • Confidence in responding to incidents and supporting emergency procedures.
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude with a genuine passion for creating a safe and positive environment.
