Software Test Lead

**The Role**: We are looking for a Test Lead to take our Testing Team to the next level. This is an opportunity to manage and develop our growing Testing Team and take full responsibility for ensuring that only high-quality software reaches our customers.

Our customers are at the heart of our company, so it is crucial, as part of our wider Product Development Team, that you are passionate about delivering quality results for our customer base. 

Following the successful launch of our latest software, Profit4, we’re growing fast and have big plans in our roadmap, which is why we are seeking dynamic, motivated and talented people to come and join our team.

**The Team**: The opportunity presented is to directly manage a team of three testers, a mixture of manual testers and automation tests. You’ll need to harness the best of their individual attributes and lead them on best practise to drive forward quality-focused testing initiatives. Our continued growth and success have set an expectation that the team will grow over time.

You’ll also collaborate with our Product Owner and UX Lead to ensure the understanding of the software goals is communicated to the Testing Team and that the product meets expectation not just in quality, but in user experience.

You’ll meet with our hiring manager and technical lead where we’ll introduce the role, requirements, tech stack and ask you about your experiences and motivation. You’ll have an opportunity to show your technical knowledge. **Key Responsibilities...**
- Able to fully own, organise and control the testing process, ensuring that all requirements are captured, feedback is listened to and acted on, and the testing scope is progressed.
- Has extensive experience of coordinating test strategies and will be willing to think outside of the box
- Will guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of test cases, test procedures and test suites
- Takes the time to understand and cultivate the test team's mindset and key principles
- Has experience in building a strong automation team, creating automation framework and setting best practices
- Understands how we can better automate our processes to find defects and improve quality
- Can introduce innovation and creative styles of testing
- Has experience of working with tools such as Jenkins, Postman and familiarity with Selenium automation test design, creation, and writing
- Gives attention to detail and can communicate effectively

**Skills & Experience...**
- Knowledge of web-based business software, sales order processing, stock management and/or accounting packages.
- ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software testing or similar (desirable)
- Experience in the Atlassian suite of software (Jira & Confluence) is desirable
- Computer-science based degree

**Salary**: Up to £50,000.00 per year
