Pertemps Exeter are delighted to be partnering again with one of our long-term clients to assist them in finding several new staff.
We are seeking an**Operations Planner**based in Exeter. The **Operations Planner**reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for maintaining raw materials/finished goods stock holding against customer requirements. Responsible for converting the logistics plan into an efficient production planfor the mill, to deliver the required product on time /in full to the customer.
As an **Operations Planner**key aspects of the role will include:

- Management of site-based stock levels ensuring replenishment in a timely manner whilst also utilising available FF fleet resource.
- Convert the logistics plan into a deliverable production plan utilising resources available at the best efficiency.
- Conduct daily stock counts in line with MIVA and generator weekly report with cost variances.
- Interrogate OTIF reports and issue reasons for the root cause of failures.
- Participate in the Tier accountability process and update the daily vis board.
- Ensure scheduled deliveries are made on time and in full.
- Use route cause analysis on failures to adherence to production plan and put corrective actions in place.
- Booking in and out Raw material deliveries and sampling.
- Management of stock holding to agreed financial and physical targets.
- Engaged and involved in Continuous Improvement throughout the site.
- Fully assist in the monthly stock take process. Working with the Production Manager to achieve the company's stock taking scheduling.
- Undertake weighbridge duties. Dealing with RM/FP queries as well as customer collections.
- Working closely with other departments (CSD/Transport) to maintain an effective and efficient Supply Chain.
To be considered for this role of an **Operations Planner**you CV should show some if not all of the following attributes/skills:

- Experience of stock and inventory control both with computerised and physical stock systems
- Attention to detail
- Outgoing personality
- Good written and verbal communicator
- The ability to work as part of a functional team
- Good telephone manner
- The ability to work shifts as agreed between 6am and 6pm and rotated weekends. Flexible in working hours outside of standard shift patterns particularly in winter
- Strong organisational skills
