Male or Female Personal Assistant/support Worker

Male OR Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a child with autism and Learning Disabilities living in the Bellshill/Motherwell area.
You would be required to provide two to one care alongside another support worker and assistance within in their home and in community including attending to some personal care needs and participation in social activities.
Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
- Attending to some personal care needs such as toileting, child is toilet trained but needs assisted to and from bathroom.
- Assisting with eating is required, child can eat themselves but requires assistance to open food items and be monitored while eating.
- Walking and assisting participation in physical activities such as swimming and swing parks
- Moving and assisting - helping a child around the community who is a flight risk and needs constant supervision, there is also a wheelchair for the child to help get them around safely if needed but this would be rare.
- Some help may be required with household duties concerning the child.
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independence and safety
Favourite activities are swimming, trampoline parks and trips to swing parks and county parks, sensory experiences and help with socialising.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
**Driver essential and you will be required to use your own vehicle some of the time - mileage allowance will be paid.**
**Experience with dealing with children with autism is essential although training will be provided.**
**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**
3 hours per week.
There may be additional hours available - to be discussed at interview.
**Days and times**:
Alternative Saturdays and Sundays (for example - Saturday 1 week, Sunday the next etc.)
**Employer has a degree of flexibility on start and finish times which will be discussed at interview.**
**Rate of pay**:
**£12.00 per hour.**
