Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a 52-year-old Female with an acquired brain Injury resulting in Physical Disability living in the Motherwell.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
- Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements)
- Assisting with medication
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks
- Walking and general exercise, assisting with participation in these physical activities.
- Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair
- General housework
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.
Driver essential and you will be required to use your own vehicle - mileage allowance will be paid.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
**Desirable Requirements**:
Experience is required but not essential as training will be provided.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
**Hours of Work 16 hours per week (with a degree of flexibility)**
Recruiting for 1 position.
Guaranteed permanent position of 16 hours per week.
**Days and times**:
Set shifts at set times OR weekly rota.
Tuesday and Thursday 08:30am to 16:30pm with an occasional Saturday shift - will be discussed at interview.
**Hourly rate**:
£15.00 per hour
