**Berneslai Homes** has an exciting opportunity for a **Neighbourhood Assistant**to join their team based in **Barnsley**with the ability to work agilely. You will join us on a**full-time (37 hours), fixed-term basis**, and in return, you will receive a **competitive salary of £21,575 to £21,968 per annum.**

**The Neighbourhood Assistant role**:
As our **Neighbourhood Assistant,** you** **will provide additional support in delivering a proactive reassuring practical and visible customer focused estate management service and make a real difference in the communities that we manage. Our Neighbourhood Assistant, you will also be supported as part of your personal growth and development to gain an in-depth knowledge and experience in Neighbourhood Housing Management.

**Key duties and responsibilities of our Neighbourhood Assistant**:

- Assist in providing tenancy related support and making appropriate internal and external referrals- Work with relevant service providers and the community to ensure a shared responsibility for the maintenance of the environment- Assist in organising and supporting the community with regard to minor environmental clean-up campaigns Participate in estate inspections including Independent Living Schemes and communal areas to complete and monitor action plans and make referrals to other service providers where necessary- Develop a thorough local knowledge of residents and community issues
