Within our highly functioning Integrated Care Hub at St Marys Hospital, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Resource Distribution Coordinator. You will be responsible for the deployment of vehicles to emergency and non-emergency calls and the welfare of front-line ambulance staff. This is a fast paced role in an ever changing environment which requires quick and logical thinking.

**Working pattern**:
All staff will be expected to work rotating 12 hour shifts which includes Bank Holidays (inc. Christmas, Easter etc). This role requires working shifts which include nights so applicants must be over 18 to apply.

This role will attract an unsocial hours allowance

Job Purpose

Within a 24-hour roster system the post holder will be required to process and dispatch the necessary resources to 999 and NHS111 calls into the Integrated Care Hub.

The post holder is expected to liaise with the duty Clinical Support Desk Clinical Advisors and with other Integrated Care Hub Staff and facilitate the communications between all contractual agencies. This role contributes towards the maintenance of an effective Integrated Care Hub ensuring that all resources are distributed across the Island in order to maximise cover to provide optimal responses across the Isle of Wight. The post holder be integral and responsible for the achievement of performance standards, particularly for the 999 and NHS111 services.

Job Statement

The post holder will process Emergency, Urgent and Routine calls using CAD system, provide post dispatch and pre arrival instructions for given situations to attending resources including giving regular updates to responding resources.

The post holder will maintain active dialog with the Clinical Support Desk Staff to ensure a clinically smart dispatch is allocated to each case.

Ensure the effective management of service resources to maintain emergency cover in priority order, with consideration to staff welfare and attainment of performance standards.

The post holder will be expected to regularly monitor national performance standards and make the necessary amendments to resource allocation to ensure the standards are met and maintained

Ensure regular updates with dispatched resources ensuring key information is passed and resource safety consideration is paramount.

There will be a requirement to mentor and develop EMCA Staff in Dispatch allocation as opportunities arise and in conjunction with the Performance Support Officer Team.

Compliance with Trust Policies and Procedures is essential.

Accept regular personal Quality Assurance Audit to maintain operator compliance.

The post holder will be required to observe complete confidentiality of all information they come into contact pertaining to the Integrated Care Hub and their role, including awareness and adherence to the legal requirements of the Data Protection Act.
