It has been reported that there are record numbers of practitioners thinking of leaving the sector due to excessive workloads, pressure and unharmonious provisions that are not nice places to work.

The latest early years legislation places a heavy emphasis on behavioural management which is clearly a big issue in many nurseries around the country as children are crammed into increasingly smaller spaces denied the ability to lead play or be wild and free.

At our last Ofsted inspection, the inspector asked what behavioural strategies we have in place. Our answer was 'nothing'. Being outside in the woods has an extraordinary impact on physical and mental health and reconnects us to the natural world. Our woodland site provides a calm, wild and free space where children learn to self-regulate, self-motivate, empathise, socialise, be confident and develop all-round emotional intelligence.

**The Job**
- Part time / full-time, flexible working (10-40hrs per week, full days), Early Years Practitioner for small Nursery and Pre-school in Croydon, CR0.
- 38 Weeks
- Great opportunity to work in small, friendly, reputable childcare setting with high staff: child ratios.

**Requirements/Skills**
- A happy smile and passion for working with children
- Energy, enthusiasm and love to be part of a great team
- Live near Croydon and hold Level 3 Early Years or other relevant qualification
- Solid knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum
- Experience of working with all ages across the Early Years
- Eligible to work in the UK and excellent command of the English Language.
- You will be required to undertake a DBS check.
