**Data Strategy Lead**

Our client, a large media organisation, are looking for Data Strategist to join their Data team. They will be responsible for implementing the vision and strategy for data, providing the context for why data matters and how it will help grow the subscription business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ambassador the data strategy and engaging all levels of the organisation to gain their support by making the benefits of data clear to business leaders and their teams
- Lead and change data usage from a siloed, single business unit to delivering wider business value, maximising digital revenues through:

- the democratisation of data and insight via self-service analytics to augment business decision-making to support subscriptions growth
- eliminating wastage by taking a cross-functional, cross-product view for capability development, reducing the need to build and build again
- always seeking new opportunities to monetise data
- focusing on innovation and future value through customer-led products, propositions, services and partnership selection
- You will proactively embed data governance, privacy, transparency and ethics principles across the business to create the rigor that underpins customer trust
- Focusing on the right questions to answer and building actionable data-based solutions which create business and customer value
- You will be uniquely positioned to translate business needs into technical requirements to identify ambitions, opportunities, and challenges in how each business area uses data
**Essential Experience**:

- You will already be an expert in data, insight or consumer strategy
- Experienced in using data to create value for subscription businesses
- Excellent at engaging stakeholders
- an authority in analytics/advanced analytics, data planning, data science, visualisation, customer insights/research
