The Role

Capco is seeking a Data Strategy and Transformation Manager to lead enterprise data strategy engagements across financial services clients. You'll help organisations become data-driven by delivering actionable strategies, operating models, and business cases. This is a pivotal leadership role for those who thrive at the intersection of data, business outcomes, and change delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Lead client engagements including strategy definition, TOM design and business case development
  • Deliver and facilitate maturity assessments, stakeholder interviews and workshop sessions
  • Oversee data strategy implementation—governance, policies, processes and tooling advisory
  • Manage project teams and contribute to capability development, mentoring and client training
  • Shape internal propositions and contribute to thought leadership in data strategy and advisory

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience in data strategy or data management roles
  • Expertise in frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, CDMC and their real-world application
  • Proven experience delivering strategic roadmaps and operating models for data transformation
  • Strong project scoping, delivery oversight, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to lead mixed teams and foster inclusive, high-performing environments

Bonus Points For

  • Prior experience at a top-tier consultancy or internal data transformation function in FS
  • Knowledge of FS regulations such as ESG, LIBOR, GDPR, Consumer Duty
  • Familiarity with data tools like Collibra, Solidatus, Ataccama, Tableau or Power BI
  • Up-to-date understanding of industry best practices across data governance and analytics
  • Formal certification in data management or governance methodologies
