Apprenticeship Advisor

This role is a 1 year FTC.

Hybrid working and can be based in offices at Croydon, Blackfriars or Monument

**The Apprenticeship Advisor**is an exciting role designed to support GTR with the on-going delivery of apprenticeship programmes across the business.

Reporting into the Apprenticeship Specialist this role will provide support and guidance to GTR by ensuring that the quality of our programmes meets the required standards both internally and externally, ensuring that all key stakeholders are fully engagedand receive the appropriate communications and that all records are maintained in line with Group, ESFA and OFSTED standards.

The role is also responsible for the welfare and progress of all apprentices in GTR, ensuring they are making the necessary progress and feel fully supported on their learning journey.

You will be successful by building strong relationships across the People community, GTR, Go
- Ahead Group and industry partners.

You will play an integral role to the successful delivery of apprenticeship programmes at GTR by providing a professional service to the team and becoming the main point of contact for all aspects of apprenticeship programme delivery.

**Principal accountabilities and deliverables**
- Champion apprenticeships across GTR building awareness and understanding across the organisation.- Monitor and support apprentices' progress through regular meetings and 12-week reviews
- Liaise with line managers to ensure apprentices' overall engagement and progress remain on target
- Provide structured plans to support staff and managers working through their apprenticeship
- Ensure Safeguarding and PREVENT arrangements are in place across all apprenticeship programmes highlighting any concerns through recognised channels
- Ensure compliance with both ESFA and OFSTED requirements
- Keep up to date in key developments/research within Apprenticeships in particular changes to ESFA funding rules providing updates on the impact of our policies
- Produce monthly management reports on apprenticeship progress
- Arrange, where necessary, functional skills training and End Point Assessments
- Attend supplier meetings recording minutes and actions

**Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications**

The role requires the following blend of experience/knowledge and behaviours (all are essential, unless otherwise shown)
- A passion for apprenticeships and developing others
- Educated to GCSE grade A to C (4 to 9) or equivalent
- Hold relevant Coaching and mentoring qualifications or be prepared to work towards gaining them
- Safeguarding and Prevent qualified at a minimum of Level 2- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience working of working with other IT database packages such as OneFile and Maytas (desirable)
- Experience of conducting development needs analysis and creating personal development plans
- Excellent organisational skills
- Conversant with OFSTED's Inspection Framework
- Ability to credibly communicate complex information in a simple and way to influence at all levels of the organisation
- Exemplary interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to allow you to build strong and effective relationships inside and outside GTR
- Works with a detailed conscientious approach
- Ability to work within a fast paced, pressurised environment
- Flexible and willing to travel across the GTR network
