**Salary**: up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with a leading global engineering organisation based in Teesside that are recruiting for a Logistics and Procurement Controller permanent basis based at their HQ in Teesside

**Duties**:

- Day to day awareness of the logistics team in order to provide support when other members are not available or to meet targets
- Be the first point of contact for team activities, questions, and initial training requirements
- Provide system feedback / configuration / testing / documentation
- Create and update transport manuals including detailed descriptions of all the INCO Terms that the company use
- Assist with the re-negotiating of terms of business/service level agreements and performance evaluation of current hauliers and take corrective action as required; awareness of the haulier market fostering relationships with current and potential hauliers
- Provide timely preparation and process of import documentation and authorisation for HMRC for all air and sea shipments globally
- Ensure the integrity of import / export documentation such as Bills of lading, GSP certificates, commercial invoices and packing lists
- Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- Monitor quality, warranty, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Planning shipments based on product availability and customer requests
- Process and create necessary documentation, i.e. COO, SASO etc. for destination purposes
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal and external systems and databases
- Keep track of freight, warehouse, transport and supply management systems
- Keep track of quality, warranty, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Prepare reports of purchased products, delivery information and invoices, including cost analysis
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
- Keep internal and external customers updated on progress relating to their orders and deliveries from start to finish
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Review, maintain and identify improvement and efficiency of logistics processes
- Maintain a good relationship with our current forwarders whilst also creating new relationships with future suppliers
- Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Meet measurable KPI targets

**Requirements**:
Demonstrable experience of working in a customer service or business to business role and delivering excellent standards of service

Demonstrable experience of working in a Logistic specific environment or role

Familiar with 3rd party logistics systems (e.g. Alpega TMS)

Knowledge of specific documentation required for international transport

CILT level 3 in Global Logistics qualification

University Degree or equivalent

Demonstrable experience of dealing with matters confidentially and sensitively

Demonstrable experience of dealing with complaints

Demonstrable experience of import/export customs knowledge, including Brexit rules and regulations
