**Finance and Payroll Team Leader**

**Salary: £42,763 - £45,863**

**Base**: Will be determined on appointment but agile working arrangements are in place.**

**Hours of Work: Full time (37 hours per week)**

**Closing Date: Midnight on 12/05/2025**

**Job Outline**:
The Finance and Payroll Team Leader will enhance and streamline budget and payroll related activity through planning, monitoring, analysing, and reporting on the company’s financial activity, advising the Head of Finance and Estates on key budget and payroll issues.

The Finance and Payroll Team Leader will manage a team to deliver financial and payroll services in a timely and accurate manner within contractual, best practice, statutory and regulatory requirements.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
Graduate or equivalent standard such as professional qualifications (see below) and relevant management experience.

A relevant professional qualification in accountancy, finance from one of the following or equivalent:

- Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy
- Chartered Association of Certified Accountants
- Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland
- Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland
- Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland
- Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

Experience of working with local government pensions would be beneficial.

**Welsh Language**:
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this position.
