An exciting opportunity to join our South Wales Finance team as a Finance Business Partner has arisen
Based at the British Airways Engineering Wales site, near Cardiff International Airport, you will play a key part in developing plans and actions with the business to achieve strategy through negotiation and knowledge sharing, using insights to advise on decisions to reduce cost, whilst challenging and supporting functional leaders to improve performance and manage risks and opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Driving the business to achieve its financial and related targets and support the delivery of key business priorities, ensuring compliance with all governance requirements.
- Develop, plan, budget and forecast outcomes to support business decisions.
- Lead supplier cost reductions across all external supplier spend, including finance support for contract extensions and new tenders
- Establish effective internal controls within the business and deliver an adequate overall level of internal control.
- Coordinate the statutory accounting submissions and Board papers.
**About You**:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to use expert insight and analysis to influence and challenge optimal decision making from both a business and financial perspective.
- An accounting qualification (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) or equivalent is essential to this role.
