Warehouse Supervisor

**Salary**: £30,000 to £35,000

Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Location: Leeds

Our client based in South Leeds is a tradition rich company, where the quality and benefits to the customer are of prime importance to them.

Their products and services are based within the automotive sector and have gained international renown across the years due to its high-quality products and professional services.

They are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their team.

THE ROLE:
Experience in all aspects of warehousing and leading a small team (10-12 warehouse operatives). As the position is very much a hands-on role, we are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor who is capable of carrying out physical work.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Experience of working with a barcoded picking, packing and goods-in system

Issue duties to warehouse operatives on a daily basis depending upon the day's requirements

Improvement of KPI's to make sure daily targets are achieved

Ensure that employees adhere to all health & safety policies & processes

Supervise, manage and motivate employees and leading by example

Have an understanding of working with hazardous goods in Limited Quantity and undertake courses as and when required

Manage incoming stock deliveries, assigning the stock to the correct warehouse locations and ensuring that delivery notes are correct and recorded

Work with the Purchasing and Logistics team to co-ordinator and advise on inbound deliveries from suppliers and outbound deliveries to customers

Assist with the pick and pack of outgoing deliveries as and when required

Oversee all health and safety aspects of the warehouse

Daily management of the assigned pickers and packers

Conducting monthly and annual stock takes

Responsible for building maintenance and repairs

Manage the general housekeeping and ensuring the warehouse is clean and tidy at all times

Working closely with the Returns Clerk on systems and processes to reduce returns

Conduct investigation/disciplinary meetings if/when required

Organise rotas and holiday for warehouse staff

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm, some flexibility is required from time to time.

THE CANDIDATE:
Experience working as a Warehouse Supervisor

Hold a driver's licence

Hold a reach and counterbalance forklift licence

Skilled with MS Applications, particularly Excel, Word and Sage 1000

Have enthusiasm and drive with a 'can do' approach

Must be a team player

Have experience managing multiple tasks at any one time

A good understanding of every role within the warehouse

Ability to be firm, have strong leadership skills but be fair at the same time

Excellent communication skills at all levels

Ability to have own ideas and the skill to implement them whilst always striving for continuous improvement

Have a keen eye for detail and be able to take responsibility for tasks using their own initiative

Drive to get the job done well

Pride in running a clean, tidy, well organised warehouse
