**Business Insider **is hiring a** Senior Communications Associate** to join our Communications Team to** **enhance Business Insider's coverage by strategically promoting journalists, focusing on broadcast pitches and cultivating relationships within the global and US media landscape, while supporting the communications team with day-to-day tasks and ensuring consistent messaging across platforms. Our team members embody and uphold Business Insider's three core values: we are all one team, we are effective, and we strive to get better every day. **The Role & Team**: As the Senior Communications Associate, you will work with the communications team to amplify Business Insider's coverage by promoting and pitching journalists and their stories. This role will provide day-to-day support to the communications team and contribute to coverage reports, media monitoring, pitching and coverage tracking. **Key Responsibilities**: - Pitch journalists for interviews, with a focus on the global media landscape and morning shows in the United States. - Research and recommend new broadcast shows and outlets for pitching. - Stay informed and integrated into the newsroom's daily stories and upcoming projects. - Track press clippings and compile PR reports. - Manage, and update PR trackers and media lists. - Monitor media coverage to ensure accuracy and proper crediting of Business Insider. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales, to ensure consistent messaging. - Develop strategic PR plans for editorial projects and stories. - Build strong relationships with producers, focusing primarily on global programming as well as morning shows in the United States. - Help prepare journalists to appear on TV and radio shows. - Establish a steady cadence of interview appearances, helping reporters become regulars on key programs. - Create media prep docs and develop talking points for press interviews. - Help draft press materials and plan media outreach. - Compile booking data analysis and trajectory reports. - 1-4 years of experience in communications, news and/or the production world. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Has their finger on the pulse of the news cycle. - Passionate about journalism and the news industry. - Works well in a fast-paced environment, and responds quickly to booking inquiries. - Is flexible and can adjust their day depending on pressing priorities. - Strong understanding of the global media landscape, key broadcast outlets and shows. - Enthusiastic about the global news and media world. - Creative thinker with a knack for brainstorming new angles and stories. - Positive attitude and dedication to team success through collaborating with a variety of internal teams and business leaders. - Self-driven professional with high attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills. **Salary & Benefits**: - Competitive salary based on skills, experience, and competencies. - Generous holiday allowance including Bank Holidays. - Comprehensive health benefits, including Private Medical Insurance and Health Cash Plan. - Life assurance coverage for added peace of mind. - Employee assistance programme for mental health and well-being support. - Industry-leading family leave policies and access to our family benefits platform, Maven. **About Business Insider**: Business Insider is a global journalism company that covers the world of business, tech, innovation, and beyond.
