Luton, United Kingdom Youthscape Full time

**ABOUT US**:
**Youthscape is a national organisation with long-standing roots in Luton, where we continue to work with young people directly.**

Our vision is to help transform how the whole church works with young people: meeting the common story of decline with new approaches to welcoming young people into the life of the church.

We support those working directly with young people, whether they are paid or volunteers, through training, events and resources. And we also work with church leaders and denominations to think strategically about the place of young people in the life of the church.

**WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR**:
**The Head of Income Generation is a new senior role at Youthscape to help us secure the income we need to do our work over the next decade.**

We have a good track record of fundraising, including a successful £3.4 million campaign for Bute Mills, our youth centre and base in Luton. But this work has been done by the Chief Executive and other staff alongside their other work. Now we need someone with the experience to take on what we are already doing and develop it further. In particular we want to launch a individual donor campaign to Christians across the UK - where now most of our personal giving comes from, the Luton area.

The right person with bring energy, experience and commitment to take our fundraising forward - improving what we already do and introducing new ideas. They manage a fundraising assistant who will support some of the practical tasks required.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS**:
**1. To work collaboratively with the Chief Executive and Leadership Team to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that grows our income to support our mission.**
- To develop and deliver a national strategy for engaging significant numbers of new individual donors and churches, building on the existing donor network who are largely in Luton.
- To work collaboratively with the Chief Executive and Leadership Team to cultivate our network of major donors.
- To develop income from trusts and foundations, deepening confidence and ongoing support from those already connected with Youthscape and cultivating new support from others.
- To design and launch a legacy giving campaign for Youthscape.
- To manage and support staff who are part of the income generation team.
- To manage the fundraising budget and make decisions about priorities for allocating and spending funds.

**2. To sustain and deepen Youthscape’s relationship with existing stakeholders.**
- To design and deliver a programme of activities and events to engage existing stakeholders at all levels.
- To manage written communications with donors through our website, newsletters and prayer letter, and to develop other materials to improve our relationship with donors.
- To develop and implement a robust database for recording and administrating information about donors and other relevant fundraising data.
- To work with the Data Protection Officer to ensure the implementation of the Data Protection Policy and all legal requirements in the storing and use of data.
- To prepare reports and give presentations on fundraising progress to the Chief Executive, Leadership Team and the board of trustees.

**3. To fulfil wider responsibilities as a member of Youthscape including**:

- To participate, as required, in meetings, training and development, and staff activities within Youthscape, including our weekly chapel and team meetings and attendance at three 48-hour staff retreats each year.
- To participate in delivering other Youthscape national events and conferences such as The National Youth Ministry Weekend and Satellites.
- To carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by your line manager.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:
