Service Controller

We are recruiting for a Service Controller for our emc business based in Brighouse.
Dawsongroup emc is the UK’s leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire.
As the Service Controller you will be responsible for:
- Day to day authorisation and control of hire fleet equipment repair, servicing and warranty work
- Dealing with telephone enquiries, ensuring action is taken and performing any follow up communication where necessary
- Issuing order numbers to each call log and monitoring the costs of the repairs completed by the field-based engineers, ensuring this is kept in line with budgets
- Providing quotations
- Raising recharge invoices and liaising closely with clients, primarily by telephone, in order to expedite agreement to recharges and raise invoices at earliest opportunity
- Carrying out general administration, updating computer records and recording all engineers and service agents’ work details against orders issued as well as identifying any discrepancies
- Operating AS400 system
- Covering stores control role where required
The successful Service Controller will hold:
- Numerate to the extent of calculating costs quickly and accurately
- Well organised and self-motivated to provide excellent customer service
- Previous experience in a customer service or scheduling environment
