**Role Overview**
Reporting to the Buyer and working as part of the Purchasing team, this essential role is a key part to MVS. The role supports the companies buying of a wide range of AV hardware and software solutions for our commercial clients throughout the UK. This includes Video Conferencing, Audio Systems with DSP’s, Video Distribution systems, Screens, Projectors and other such AV hardware.
**Key Responsibilities**
This role will involve:

- Negotiating with suppliers to agree pricing, Quantities, and deliveries
- Tracking and managing deliveries ensure business critical dates are met. Clear communication if wanted dates are at risk of not being met.
- Update received deliveries on internal systems - SAGE
- Process purchasing request using project specific BOM’s and Sage 50
- Raising of Purchase Orders on Sage 50
- Build supplier relationships and negotiate terms of contract and pricing.
- Source new suppliers as required
- Negotiating preferential pricing and lead times.
- Assist with the RMA process from start to finish ensure all returns are actioned within 48hours
- Effectively working with the projects team and pre-sales on stock restraints and supply chain risks
- Assist with the managing of DOA equipment by securing replacement items in a timely fashion
- Assisting the company with daily tasks to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Provide reporting to management on purchase price variances and delivery times.
- Effectively communicate with the business to discuss risks and problematic kit.
- Support the team with warehouse for holiday cover. Covering goods in and despatch.
- Booking of couriers including pallets, create collection and delivery note, ensure signatures are obtained, create packing note for supply only deliveries.
- Answering telephone enquiries

**Technical Competencies**
**Essential**
- Ability to build relationships with suppliers to ensure they and us receive the highest quality service.
- Be able to work with 3rd party vendors/partners and escalate for technical support/RMA to drive issues to resolution
- Ability to work autonomously and on own initiative.
- Possesses a strong attention to detail to ensure that work is completed thoroughly and within deadline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management

- Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
- Can remain calm under pressure

**Desirable**
- Previous experience working within an AV purchasing background
- Strong technical knowledge of AV products and systems with the software and hardware that comprise them.
- 2 years’ experience in a purchasing role
- Sage 50 and Microsoft Office
