We have an excellent opportunity for a Patient Flow Coordinator to deliver an excellent patient experience throughout all areas of the patient journey within our Burcot Hall hospital. You will be responsible for providing unparalleled customer service to all patients from the initial meet and greet upon arrival to ensuring a smooth transition between departments whilst supporting the clinical teams on the day of surgery.
**The Role**:
As Patient Flow Coordinator you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Meet and greet’ the patient on arrival and escort the patients to their private rooms to enable them to prepare beforehand of surgery
- Provide ongoing communication to patients prior to being taken to theatre
- Manage the patient’s admission to discharge process in live time through our online admission process
- Facilitate Surgeon and Anaesthetist pre-op assessments between the admissions area and consultation rooms and chaperone to and from theatre where appropriate
- Act as a link between theatre and ward and escort the patient to theatre when required for surgery
- Direct responsibility for completion of the Patient Satisfaction Surveys on discharge
- Manage any complaints in-house and provide on-the-spot resolutionApplicants will possess the ability and confidence to handle sometimes difficult patient situations. You will also respect the need for patient confidentiality and always work to provide the best customer service.
This is a full-time opportunity, working 37.5 hours per week to be worked as per the rota which will include working weekends and late evenings therefore the applicant should be flexible in their working arrangements. Part time applicants may be considered.

**Salary**: £9.86 per hour
