**Role Purpose**:
A field based role reporting to the Sales Director, the role of the UK Sales Manager is to achieve the monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and objectives for the UK through leadership of the UK Sales Team, building relationships with key customers,developing new sales routes, and promoting Hochiki products and services. Working towards further development of the existing and potential customer base. Generating product specifications into key strategic market sectors, supporting the delivery of new productsinto the market and feeding back key market information.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Take accountability for the budgeted sales numbers and KPIs for both Systems and Distribution channels.
- Manage and develop Distributor and Rebate Agreements.
- Work closely with the Customer Services Department to review and improve sales procedures through use of our electronic platform.
- Manage and develop the distribution sales team to deliver both the current agreed sales budget and KPIs with specific strategic implemented strategies.
- Manage and develop our Distribution Sales Model to grow our market share with the correct strategic partners.
- Manage and develop the Systems/End-user/Consultant team to deliver both the current agreed sales budget and KPIs with specific strategic implemented strategies.
- Report to the business against sales results, KPI’s and development against objectives.
- Report and Forecast business via channel on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Implement a culture of ownership for projects and the use of CRM and quotations to forecast business.
- Manage and implement a culture of collaboration within the sales team using our CRM platform as a key tool to deliver quality information to the business.
- Develop our systems sales market share and long-term relationships with strategic End-users.
- Development of the UK sales team including: Performance reviews, bonus targeting, employee motivation & engagement, managing absence, resolving conduct matters etc...
- Working in collaboration with the marketing team and developing a joint strategy.
- Develop a true business development strategy via a vertical market approach and drive sales via appropriate channels.
- Work with and assign the team to target consultants to assist in the design and delivery of projects to meet the needs of life safety systems and position Hochiki to benefit from the specification of key features within the range that deliver an advantageagainst its competitors.
- Maintain regular visits to Distributors, Consultants, End users, and System partners to deliver a complete solution.
- Influence the market for the correct use of fire detection systems.
- Work with and help influence key life safety institutions like the FIA as an example.
- Monitor and report changes in competitor situations.
- Attend and manage Hochiki presence at exhibitions and seminars.
- Maintain and understand industry standards and potential changes to compliance and how this impacts our sales strategy.
- Prepare and present reports on quotations, forecasts, and visit reports promptly.
- Monitor and control customer credit status.
- Submit accurate and timely administrative paperwork including monthly expenses.
- Produce other reports as and when requested.
- Provide effective communication across the company in a timely fashion on any issues which would affect those departments.
- Work closely and develop a strong working relationship with your colleagues at Kentec.

**Person Specification**

We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and have a passion to contribute to the success of Hochiki. In addition to this, you will possess the following:
Qualifications:

- Essential: Proven sales experience at management level and strong leadership experience.
- Desirable:Knowledge in both fire and emergency lighting.
- Trained on BS 5839-2017 and BS 5266.

**Experience**:

- Essential: 5+ years in a similar role with a proven track record in sales.
- Essential: Strong background in sales management within the UK Distribution market.
- A good understanding of the key vertical markets within the commercial buildings sector and a strong understanding of the Consultant/End-user markets.

**Knowledge and Technical skills**:

- Essential: Ability to understand channel management.
- Desirable: Commercial experience.
- Desirable: Hands-on experience within the fire industry.
- Essential: Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows operating system.
- Desirable: Working knowledge of SAP.
