Marquess Tax is looking for an enthusiastic Tax Assistant or Trainee Tax Assistant to join our tax advisory team. This role is an opportunity to start a career in tax and will involve providing tax consulting services to our clients. Training will be provided.

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Tax Assistant / Trainee Tax Assistant include, but are not limited to:

- Liaise with HMRC concerning client issues.
- Assist in the preparation of tax computations and tax planning.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of Stamp Duty Land Tax returns.
- Handle client enquiries and provide assistance with any queries.
- Carry out research on taxation issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
- Adhere to all relevant legislation and regulations.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Tax Assistant / Trainee Tax Assistant are:

- A desire to progress with a career in tax, which will ultimately require study towards the ATT qualification.
- Experience working within a legal conveyancing team or liaising with HMRC on tax issues would also be a great transferable skill for a suitable applicant.
- Experience of working with marketing and social media would be a great advantage but not essential.
