We have an opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to join the team at Hurn Recycling Ltd. We are a waste management company for over 20 years trading in Dorset.

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for supporting the Office Manager with a variety of accounting tasks. You will also help to ensure the smooth running of the business when the office manager is out of office. This position is offered on a full time basis. Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Manage Accounts inbox
- Credit control - chasing debtors
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software then filing hard copies
- Bank reconciliation
- Day to day bookkeeping
- Quarterly VAT submission
- Journals
- Liaising with external accountants when required
- Answering the phone, helping with enquiries and keeping information up to date
- Providing support to Office Manager

*Essential Key skills: *
- Minimum 3 years experience in bookkeeping
- AAT qualified preferable
- Minimum 2 years experience using Xero
- Experience in Quickbooks an advantage
- Computer skills Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong Admin skills
- High attention to detail and highly organised
- Forward thinking, enthusiastic team player.

Location* The place of work is at our main site Bournemouth International Airport
