Payroll Administrator

We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to carry out all payroll processes, end to end, for the monthly payroll. These processes are to be met with the highest standard to meet the needs of the company, employee and current legislation.

**Position**: Payroll Administrator

**Location**: Wellingborough

**Hours**: 35 per week (worked flexibly between the hours of 8am-6pm, with some home working if required)

**Contract**:Permanent

**Salary**: Circa £23k

**Benefits**: Discretionary Bonus - paid monthly, Excellent pension scheme, Fantastic employee benefits platform, 25% Company discount, Incremental holiday scheme. Starting on 20 days + 8 bank holidays and increasing by 1 day per year, after year 1, untila cap is reached.

**About the Role**

As Payroll Administrator your main duties will include:

- Collating and calculating hours from attendance sheets (timesheets) on a weekly basis
- Processing end to end of monthly payroll using Snowdrop (migrating to MitreFinch) for 300 circa employees
- Posting all payroll related sums to accounting software
- Processing weekly agency hours and posting agency invoices to accounting software
- Ensuring compliance with current legislation and keeping the company up to date with any changes
- Preparing ad hoc reports
- Ensuring all SSP, SPP, SMP, and any other statutory payments are paid accurately and where necessary within government and company guidelines
- Resolving any issues with employees in a timely manner
- End of year payroll processing P60’s

**About You**

As Payroll Administrator, you will have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and good time management
- Proven ability to work well within a team and to use own initiative
- To be sensitive to the aims and ethos of the charity

Desirable skills and qualifications:

- Knowledge and experience of using MitreFinch T&A and Flexipay (desirable not essential)
- Previous experience working in Payroll
- Excellent computer skills, proficiency on applicable databases and systems. Requires a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
