**What is the job?**
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to further their career in transport operations whilst gaining valuable knowledge of the biomass industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain current daily plan whilst planning next day's work
- Strong and consistent communication with drivers daily
- Allocating work to drivers within the WTD (Working time directive)
- Communicating throughout the day inter department with issues and requirements
- Monitor Progress of vehicles on Mandata tracker system
- Reduce empty running by identifying and allocating work to the routes
- Use available reports to monitor performance issues
- Attend Teams meetings within own team to discuss the days progress and forward plan
- Replan as changes are required
- Report to planning manager any issues throughout the day

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
**Essential**
- Good IT Skills Word/Excel
- Flexibility
- Good communication skills verbal and written
- Excellent organisational ability
- Good knowledge of the working time directive and driver regulations
- Good geographical knowledge
- Ability to problem solve whilst working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external colleagues
- Previous planning/Transport experience

**Desirable**
- CPC

At Seras our biomass fuel expertise has been developed over the last 12 years. We process waste wood and supply 1.7 tonnes of biomass fuel to a network of UK power plants.
